Chartered Accountant (CA)
Chartered Accountancy stands as a professional practice encompassing accounting, auditing, taxation, and financial assessment for both individuals and organizations. The designation of a Chartered Accountant is conferred upon accounting professionals who have received certification from a recognized statutory body, indicating their qualification to manage the intricacies of accounting and taxation within a business enterprise.
The realm of Chartered Accountancy spans tasks such as filing tax returns, conducting audits of financial statements and business practices, facilitating business organization registration with governmental authorities, record-keeping for investments, and the preparation and review of financial reports and documents. In addition to these responsibilities, a professionally trained Chartered Accountant is equipped to provide advisory services to a diverse clientele, including both companies and individuals.
Attaining the certification of Chartered Accountancy is a pivotal step for those aspiring to practice as a Chartered Accountant in India. This journey involves completing three levels of training, meticulously structured by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Functioning as a statutory body, the ICAI plays a vital role in regulating and upholding the standards of the chartered accountancy profession in the country. Aspiring Chartered Accountants have the option to embark on this career path through either the Foundation Course Route, which serves as the entry point after completing Class 12, or the Direct Entry Route, tailored for those who have already completed their graduation.
CA Foundation
The CA Foundation exam is held two times a year, in May/June and then in November/December. The ICAI is responsible for releasing the CA Foundation exam pattern for both sessions on its official website.
CA Intermediate
After registration for the intermediate course, students are required to undergo a study period of eight months. Intermediate exams are held twice in a year i.e., May and November.
CA Final
CA Final exam also takes place once a year which is in the month of December.
